Canadian Interactive Alliance
In June 2005, associations from across Canada announced the official formation of the Canadian Interactive Alliance / Alliance Interactive Canadienne (CIAIC). Comprised of the eight largest new media associations in Canada, the group emerged after two days of meetings at VIDFEST, the International Digital Media Festival held in Vancouver, B.C. The meetings represented a critical milestone in the development of a legally constituted non-profit, industry-based association. The associations involved include:
