Frima Studio

Founded in Québec city in 2003 by Steve Couture, Philippe Bégin and Christian Daigle, Frima Studio has proved to be a successful journey for 3 entrepreneurs looking to build quality video games in the midst of the dotcom crash.

We wish we could say the name Frima comes from Latin roots or ancient Greek but the explanation is rather rational; the three musketeers combined their skills in winter time. The windows of their humble dwelling were frost covered... in French this frost is known simply as Frima.

From these humble beginnings, the production of Flash games for Hollywood’s biggest brands such as Harry Potter and Looney tunes, allowed the business to excel, and Frima quickly rose among the ranks of top quality studios. Having moved from the freezing apartment to a compact and bijou office, the fast growing team soon found its 25 staff over heating in cramped conditions. Frima was on the move again! This time, to a bigger place right across the street, a comparative palace, with heaters for winter, and air conditioning for summer and most importantly…enough room for all our creative people!
