Gotjobs
Gotjobs is a next generation recruiting company that is focused on the needs of young jobseekers and the companies that hire them. Using some rather unique and credible assessments metrics Gotjobs allows employers to quickly identify the strongest and best fit candidates from a large pool of applicants. But in the spirit of fair-trade it gives back to the young jobseekers, allowing them to learn about their work styles and identify positions where they are a great match.
To put it simply - it is the e-harmony of on-line recruiting. The matching platform for employers and jobseekers is based on a smart value-laden assessment metric which has evolved from peer-reviewed university research. The technology can evaluate, sort and rank hundreds of applications using a non bias, accountable and automated assessment system.
The system works best with jobseekers that have limited work experience i.e. young jobseekers and/or recent graduates. Why? Because companies have the most difficult time recruiting effectively from this demographic because junior applicants have few professional work experiences to show their skills and abilities. Better up-front matching translates into lower mishire rates and greater retention levels through the medium and long-term.
The software can be utilized for both professional based hiring i.e. new software engineers or service-based hiring - retail sales or food services. It can be tweaked to emphasize the qualities or attributes most sought after by a particular company or industry i.e. high levels of integrity indicators for banks and in the process reflect their corporate culture.
Gotjobs is seed funded by McMaster University and the Xerox Centre for Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
