Helioid is a web exploration engine that provides users with navigable profiles of the content making up search results.

Searching with a mainstream search engine is akin to looking up a term in the index at the back of a book, which works well when you have a pretty good idea of what you're looking for. But when you're not exactly sure what's of interest in the book, you don't look at the index, you look at the table of contents.

Helioid gives users a look at their search results' table of contents.
