Management Graphics(MGI) will soon be celebrating it's second decade in the presentation visuals business. In 1977, well before the arrival of PC's, we were providing pen plotter generated colour transparencies using HP plotters and a DEC PDP-1103 minicomputer with a whopping 32Kb of RAM and 8 inch floppy disks. Later, MGI became the first company in Canada to offer digitally produced 35mm slides and in 1983 we introduced Dial-a-Slide. Dial-a-Slide allowed customers to create custom 35mm slides by connecting via modem to our DEC PDP11 computer. After answering a few simple questions about the type of slide to be created, slides were ready within 24 hours.
In 1986, we developed the highly successful PC-Slide graphics program that ran on the newly arrived IBM PC's giving users complete controll over the creation of their presentation graphics. Other software designed specifically for the service bureau continued to be developed by MGI. Applications like Maestro, which greatly simplified slide imaging, and, of course, EZ-COM, MGI's own modem transfer software for sending files over the modem.
You can feel confident working with MGI because unlike most service bureaus we are also integrators of digital imaging and printing systems. Many of Canada's top service bureaus use our systems for short-run colour printing and slide production.
Our success as one of Canada's oldest and most experienced service bureaus is based on providing unmatched service with new and innovative products. So whether you require presentation visuals or are looking for a short-run printing or slide production system, MGI can meet all your imaging needs.
