Plug and Play Tech Center community where over 150 start-ups work closely with one another and build great companies from ideas and dreams. Plug and Play Tech center offers much more than a place to build your dreams, we also provide value added services that help turn your dreams into reality.
One of our biggest assets to our start-up community is our established relationships with various funding sources. We help nurture our start-ups by introducing them to our network of angels and mentors. In some instances these angel investors along with our own company, Amidzad, make investments in the startup. We have also cultivated strategic partnerships with tier venture capital firms throughout the valley. These partnerships serve as another avenue of funding for our startup companies. Since our inception in 2006, we have helped our startup community raise over $450 million.
We understand that building a startup is a very tough and courageous act therefore we provide various community network meetings events that we believe increase the possibility of success among our startups. Events such as EXPO, investments forums, Circle of CEO's community networking, and web 2.0 events help build and nurture our startup community.
Since universities are a hotbed of great entrepreneurial ideas we have established relationships with various universities throughout the country. We have reached out to the entrepreneurship societies and student run organizations and through these efforts we have been successful in funding startups from universities such as, Stanford, MIT, Cornell, and Berkeley to name a few. We are proud that these startups are housed in the Plug and Play University Pavilion.
In order to complete the Plug and Play ecosystem we needed to create strategic partnerships with various corporations throughout the valley. Our partnerships with industry giants such as Sun, Yahoo, Microsoft, SAP, Nokia, Ebay and Google help nurture our community by providing mentorship and exchange of ideas and support through educational and other events that are sponsored by these corporations.
We believe that through the services and relationships that Plug and Play has established for our startup community they are in an environment where they can truly be successful and ultimately realize their dreams.
