PNCglobal is a Canadian corporation, based in Montreal, which has developed secure, multi-factor authentication products specially designed with the Internet in mind. This means low-cost, universal solutions that will need minimum support once in the field.

So far, many solutions promised to make Internet access and electronic transactions more secure. But increased security often comes at the expense of increased complexity and cost. Most authentication products either need additional equipment, or cost too much for large-scale Internet deployment. PNCglobal differentiates itself from its competitors (generally larger firms) through lower cost solutions, adapted for large-scale projects, and the offering of a flexible multi-application architecture.

Our authentication technology is called Uni-ID, and offers an open, multi-application architecture. Applications include the Uni-ID Webaccess product, recently integrated with IBM’s Tivoli Policy Director ™ , Uni-ID Gateway, a VPN authentication card, and Uni-ID Payment for the B2C and B2B markets. The Uni-ID open architecture supports multiple types of tokens (CD cards, Smart cards, USB keys, and Audio cards – for wireless and phone-based projects).
