The digital application of the lock box concept creates a safe and secure way not just to store but to connect – to the past, to the future, at milestones to come, or to events that may have just happened. The Virtual Lock Box creates a space for the act of remembering to be carried out in a virtual present, but with participants from the both past and the future.
The lockbox can be pushed out to anyone, anywhere at any time. Added to the compression of time is the ability of the creator of a Virtual Lock Box to control both access and distribution – to not only who but also to when.
The digital media allows memorabilia to be stored in a multiplicity of formats: audio, video, photo, music and electronic documentation.
