SMCYVR is a chapter of Social Media Club, a worldwide trade organization focusing on social media in business.

Our Tenets

It’s our intention to lead SMCYVR with the following spirit and tenets:

• Upbeat, positive and fun. If it’s not fun, what’s the point?
• Warm, welcoming and inclusive. No cliques, no egos, no drama. We all started somewhere and we all have much to learn. No one will be turned away or considered too “newbie” to participate.
• Organized and value-focused. We’ll work to ensure our members are getting true value out of the organization.
• Business context. We’re more about business and career benefits than on technology, partying or self-promotion. We are about social media in a business context—with lots of fun along the way.
