Tucows

Tucows seeks to make the Internet easier and more effective for passionate Internet users. Our goal is to reduce complexity for our customers as they acquire, deliver or use Internet services.

Our principle source for distributing Internet services is our global network of over 7,000 hosting companies, ISPs and other providers of Internet services ("service providers"). In addition to other Internet services, we provision millions of email boxes and manage over 7 million domains.

We were among the first group of 34 registrars to be accredited by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in 1999. We were the first true wholesaler of domain names.

We seek to leverage the power of our established global network of service providers to drive innovation in how people find and buy domain names and in how people send, receive and share messages. Service providers play a critical role in connecting users to the Internet. Our service provider customers interact with individuals and businesses ranging from small business to large corporations. Our wholesale product offerings and our outsourced service management capability allows us to offer service providers innovative value-added services which allow them to focus their time and resources on customer acquisition and retention.

Our goal is to implement this strategy while maintaining our high level of customer service and support.

We operate one of the most popular software download sites, where we connect advertisers to a global audience of Internet users. Our site is designed to provide users with solutions to Internet and technology problems. It includes a library of over 40,000 software titles available for download on a shareware, freeware or trial basis.

Our Retail Services include Domain Direct, where we offer retail domain registration and other services designed to help users establish an Internet presence, and NetIdentity, where we manage a portfolio of surname-based domain names that we use to provide customers with personalized, name-based email addresses, and domain names. Our Retail services division also operates Kiko, a web-based calendar, and Blogrolling, a service to manage links and buddy lists.

We were incorporated in 2001 and are a Pennsylvania corporation. We are headquartered in Toronto and have offices in Europe and the United States.
