Women 2.0
After Entrepreneur27 held many successful events for young entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley, some of the women in the crowd started to ask — “Where are all the girls in the Silicon Valley?”
The founders of Women 2.0 came together to start a women’s movement in the Web 2.0 frenzy, organizing the first Women 2.0 Conference on April 16, 2006 that showcased six women who founded successful Internet startups. Today, Women 2.0 holds regular wine & cheese networking mixers for the Women 2.0 community and a special event each quarter.
Women 2.0 understands that half the battle in business lies in networking and since we’re not eligible for the old boys clubs, Women 2.0 events are the new way for emerging young women leaders to grow their networks.
Women 2.0 connects like-minded, motivated young women to swap energy, ideas, and experiences with each other. Women 2.0 events showcase top female entrepreneurs and leaders in their field. Women 2.0 mixers are held regularly in both San Francisco and the Silicon Valley to bring both emerging and extraordinary women together to network and learn from one another, usually around some wine and cheese.
