The mission of the York Technology Association is to foster a networking and learning environment conducive to the growth and success of all technology stakeholders and to take action, on behalf of its members, on issues that are important to the technology industry.
The York Technology Association was established in 1982 provide a voice for the rapidly expanding technology industry in North East Metro and Southern York Region. The association has established a strong presence in the technology sector and continues to meet its goals of representation to government, providing information to members and industry involvement.
The association has over 100 member companies representing technology suppliers, users, and service providers to the technology industry. Member companies range from the large multinationals to mid-range and smaller entrepreneurial firms. The association provides an excellent networking opportunity through: a series of monthly luncheons with prominent speakers addressing technology issues and special event seminars focused on specific topics or issues.
YTA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which co-ordinates the activities and ensures members' concerns are reflected in the actions of the association throughout the year. The work of the association is carried on through the executive committee and the administrative director.
