Calgary AWS User Group Meetup - Doing DevOps in AWS

We are excited to announce our first AWS User Group Meetup Calgary!

Come get together for a presentation on DevOps in AWS and share your experiences.

DevOps as a set of concepts, practices and tools is here to stay and AWS has fully embraced in their services. Doing DevOps in AWS is valuable for anyone who would like to efficiently manage their environment and is an absolute must for SaaS products or rapidly changing and growing services that need efficient release management process. DevOps is not just an exercise in continuous deployment but automating your deployment opens doors to improve your development and operations in general and this session will allow us to understand how this expanded view applies to AWS. Our speaker will share some of his experiences helping clients implement DevOps automation in AWS by using some of the native platform services as well as standard tools like Chef or home grown Linux or Windows scripting. Bring your questions about DevOps in the AWS cloud and take advantage of the session to learn more about how to successfully implement your deployment and operational processes.
Goran (Kima) Kimovski is a Principal Cloud Architect and Partner at TriNimbus and has been working with AWS for over 5 years, initially developing and running SaaS solutions on the platform and later consulting for companies helping them architect scalable solutions and automate their deployments on AWS. Build and release management, deployment automation, infrastructure automation, agile software development, continuous integration are topics that have kept him busy for the most of his recent career and he is bringing over 15 years of software development into those practices.
