Canadian Open Data Experience (CODE) Hackathon

Canadian Open Data Experience (CODE) Hackathon

The Canadian Open Data Experience (CODE) is the first nationwide Open Data Hackathon in Canada. An intense 48-hour coding sprint where innovators from coast to coast compete to build the best app utilizing federal government data from the Canadian Open Data Portal (http://www.data.gc.ca). Co-hosted by the Government of Canada and XMG Studio and supported by open data industry leaders such as OpenText, OneEleven, IBM, Google, McKinsey & Company, TriNimbus and Github, participants can take part in one of two ways: they can apply to attend the centralized OneEleven VIP HUB in Toronto or they can participate remotely from their homes, schools or their local coffee shop. First prize is $25,000, second prize $5,000 and third $1,000. For those interested in participating, please visit the website.
