The CMA Innovation Centre invites you to the research presentation, “Intellectual Property Strategies for Open Innovation”, by Jeremy de Beer (Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa). By comparing intellectual property management issues in the smartphone patent wars with strategic approaches in other sectors, including life sciences, automotive engineering, and software development, Professor de Beer will offer a new analytical framework to understand which management practices work well in promoting open innovation, which do not and, most importantly, why.
