DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Burnaby Board of Trade, we would be delighted to have you join us for our inaugural technology industry event. In partnership with the British Columbia Technology Industry Association (BCTIA), we welcome your participation in THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY IN BC - a ground-breaking initiative on Tuesday March 24, 2009 at the renowned Electronic Arts Studio in Burnaby.
This event is a unique opportunity for you to network and create strategic partnerships with fellow colleagues in the technology sector. In the spirit of a collaborative community, both the BBOT and BCTIA aim to strengthen Burnaby’s identity as a global hub for technology companies. A select panel of speakers will discuss the status and future of the technology industry in British Columbia, with specific reference to Burnaby. This panel will feature:
Eric Jordan, Co-President, PTC
A member of the Premier’s Technology Council for the past five years, Mr. Jordan is prominent in the B.C. business and technology community and has a demonstrable track record of success. Mr. Jordan is not only known for his business success, but has been recognized for his commitment to helping the technology industry grow in B.C.
Dean Rockwell, CEO, BCIC
A graduate of BCIT and Simon Fraser University, Mr. Rockwell gives BC Innovation Council the management and entrepreneurial skills needed to directly impact the long-term success of B.C.'s knowledge economy.
Pascal Spothelfer, President & CEO, BCTIA
Mr. Spothelfer provides broad senior management experience, strategic thinking and intellectual horsepower to help the BC Technology Industry Association continue its mandate for a stronger, more dynamic and more robust technology industry in British Columbia.
