BC's Video Game & Interactive Media Industry Town Hall Meeting: The IDMTC Extension and Enhancement Plan
The Extension and Enhancement for BC's Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit
Introduced in 2010, the IDMTC legislation is set to phase out in 2015 pending a review by the BC government in 2014. Your DigiBC Committee on Public Policy is actively discussing and working to ensure the program not only continues, but is expanded to meet the current and long-term needs of our evolving industry.
DigiBC is actively working to redesign the tax incentive to accelerate the growth of our local industry today and well into the future. We are holding a town hall meeting to discuss our plans for the Digital Media Tax Credit and hear from you on your experience with the current tax credit and recommendations for changes. Working together with a strong voice will improve our ability to influence policy.
