STC-Canada West Coast Chapter Fall Kickoff

This year, the Society for Technical Communication - Canada West Coast chapter takes a new direction. To emphasize the chapter's commitment to online activity, the season kicks off with a combination of remote and on-site presentations. Incoming president Karen Rempel presents the chapter’s plans to make a difference in the community and to enhance STC's online presence via forums, wikis, and other “virtual” activities.

And featured speaker, Adobe Senior Product Evangelist RJ Jacquez, demonstrates what's new in Adobe Technical Communication Suite, version 1.3. In keeping with Adobe's commitment to “going green” by replacing travel with technology, RJ's presentation will be broadcast live from San Diego--and in the process we realize a carbon footprint savings of 289.9 kg/CO2.

Anyone who pre-registers can watch the presentation at the Downtown YWCA meeting site or from home.

Light refreshments and social networking will follow the presentations.
