In partnership with Launch Party Vancouver (LPV4), Techvibes is hosting a Career Fair dedicated to the unique opportunities available at Tech Start-Ups in Vancouver. The event will merge the 'unconference' format of DemoCamp with a traditional Career Fair. Hiring companies will have the opportunity to pitch prospective employees on the benefits of working for their start-up as well as highlight some of the current roles they're trying to fill.
Prospective Employees: From web designers to systems engineers and all stops in between - if you're a student, a recent graduate, or part of the workforce and curious about what its like to work for a Start-Up - this is the event for you.
Participating Start-Ups:
Strutta.com - Danny Robinson
CarrieandDanielle.com - Daniel Gibbons
Lypp.com - Erik Lagerway
Tagga - Amielle Lake
LiveCurrent.com - Jonathan Ehrlich
MovieSet.com - Jeff Mah
If you're a start-up and having trouble filling key positions, this is your chance to turn the tables and pitch your job opportunities to prospective employees. For only $200, a spokesperson from your company will sit on the start-up panel of 10-12 companies and have 5 minutes to pitch your start-up to an audience of tech professionals, recent grads, and students. In addition, your company's logo will be included in the online marketing materials and you'll get two Paid Job Posts on the Techvibes blog for free. If you're interested in participated, contact Rob Lewis at rob@techvibes.com.
