I''m a real estate agent, and need help creating a web site that will generate leads for my family and I. My computer skills unfortunately are limited and plain. What I need is step by step solutions; if someone does this for a profession, I may consider paying for his or her services.

Don't count a website generating leads. Look at it more like a place to ensure people who are directed to a website stay there and learn what you can do for them. I've seen too many people (not saying you, necessarily) put the cart before the horse and expect the website to generate the leads, this is opposite of how it should be viewed.
Best place for leads are networking groups like BNI Canada. For Real Estate Agents they are a boon to business and well worth the money to join.
