Cheapest domain name seller now is...?

I am wondering if anyone can suggest a place where I can buy 5 dot com domain names at the cheapest price.

I am with godaddy.com, and can get it for about $8.95 USD and would want them to host it anyway if I didn''t get it from them. They will charge ma a $7.95 USD domain name transfer, so I guess it would be better to buy from them, unless I get something like 10 years?

Some someone give me some advice on what to do about this?

Check out http://www.retailmenot.com/view/godaddy.com for some coupons to make your Go Daddy fee slightly cheaper. I've gone for a few domain name promos at other companies in order to save a couple bucks, but I always come back to Go Daddy for the simplicity of it all. Hosting, though, is a complete other story...

oh, you don't host with them? why and where do you host?

I just saw an ad in a magazine for www.1and1.com. They looked pretty attractive.

It depends on what you need the hosting for. I have budget hosting needs and use mjzhosting.net (yeah, his site looks really weird and unprofessional, but you will have trouble finding a more honest host).

I presently host with Cyfocus.net, a godaddy.com reseller based out of Toronto, I believe, whom I found, RIGHT OFF TECH VIBES!

They are great, never been down, great customer support and domains are $1.99 if I buy hosting from them at $4.99 month or $6.95 for just the domain. Huge disc space on my hosting.

I looked at Blurfur and they are $16.95 for a domain name? And hosting space is limited. Ouch.

Sometimes I wonder why companies are not competitive. If not on price alone, then on value.

Looking at 1and1.com it's first 3 months free, two free domain names and even more hosting for $4.99 a month.

I've hosted with a local company in the past that went under....not fun trying to get my domain back from them.

If a local company can do as well or better than 1and1.com, I'd consider going with them.

yea but try getting support, or when it comes to renewing knowing they won't sell it to someone else. DNS servers, ect. BlueFur gives you great server accounts for so cheap, and only really meters your bandwidth. Noy the cheapest, but I don't feel safe with GoDaddy or any other super cheap service, they don't provide everything you need!

it's easy to get support. whenever I call, they are BOOM right there, and they respond to email. My previous hosting (I had several) all took days, if I heard back at all.

Very pleased with cyfocus/godaddy. They also monitor my bandwith AND have many more extras.

By both PRICE and VALUE..... I'd say godaddy is great.

Yahoo offers $1.99 Domains for the first year. We posted the special little while back on our website. As well as Godaddy Domain Name Coupons.

Here is the URL. Yahoo $1.99 Domains

Why must you post an affiliate link.
Prexecom on Thu, September 13, 2007 12:58 PM
If you would actually click on the link you would see it goes to our website. The special is just available to us affiliates. I didn't think it is was appropriate to post "the affiliate link" right here in the forum. Plus this offer sure beats anything else. [;)]

that is a good deal, $1.99 for a domain. But is it only one domain we can buy, or can we buy more than one at the price? Is there a limit?

Here's a good site that has about 4 different cheap companies on the site that sell domains TITLE you can do your research there I think 1and1.com is the cheapest at $5.99. Yahoo is a scam 2 bucks 1st year then 10 bucks after that. If you want really cheap you can get a .info for $1.99 lot of people selling those. hope this helps. I have about 40 domains and i buy from everybody .I just bought a domain from moniker.com I got some issues with them. I bought panama.bz tried to park it with my other ones instead they parked where they wanted to. Now I can't login to my account for some reason hmmm. Monkey business maybe, I'll update later could be simple mistake on there part. Anybody eles have problems with moniker.com?
