Vancouver Developer Salaries?

Hi folks,
I am considering moving to Vancouver to live (my fiancée is from BC). I’ve noticed property there is not cheap and I was wondering if you can give me an idea of the type of salary that a senior software developer can earn in Vancouver.
I am from Ireland, I have 6+ years development experience (J2EE, Java, C++ and C#) and I make about 85K CAD per year working in Dublin. Are Vancouver salaries much lower than this? On average, how much would a senior developer in Vancouver earn?

Thanks for the info Rob, looks like the salaries are somewhat lower in Vancouver. Maybe the lifestyle will make up for it!

The SW developers I know with the same level of experience earn about 65 - 75K CAD/year. However, it also depends on your area of expertise (the business area).
