Free Business Card Design for First Ten Replies From Individuals

A business card is an important tool for networking and business. You want it to reflect you and your company, and you want it to be memorable.
Yet many people settle for a design that looks like everybody else''s - or worse, one printed off in ten minutes using a template in a word processor. As a result, the card isn''t memorable, and fails its basic purpose.
You don''t have to do that.
As a promotion, I will design a free business card for each of the first ten individuals who reply to this offer. Each card will be unique, and will reflect the user''s interest and the image that he or she wants to convey.
I''ll work with you through up to three design revisions.
In return, all you have to do is agree to give me a copy of the printed card, and to use it in my portfolio.
Free cards will go to the first ten replies to bbyfield@axionet.com.
- Bruce Byfield
PS - You''ll have to make your own printing arrangements (I suggest Ultra-Xpress, one of the sponsors for TechVibes, which has a discount offer on your first printing order for TechVibes members). However, I will work with any printer you choose to fix any glitches in the printing.

can I keep this as a credit and use it later [;)]. I just got new business cards but you are a good man for giving this offer. I'm sure it will generate good business for you in the long run. Many people forget about the long run when they run their businesses.

Well, nothing says that you have to use the design right away. If you wait, I might be charging by then. [:)]
Let me know what you decide. Meanwhile, thanks for the encouragement.

That depends on:
- who's doing the card. Obviously, the more experienced, the quicker.
- how original the design is. A cookie-cutter design would take less than an hour, probably.
- how much of the material the designer is handed. If the designer has all graphics given in usable form, or doesn't use any, then a card with an original design might be about 2 hours' work. However, if graphics have to be generated, or tweaked, then 8-10 hours

For anyone who missed the boat...
- hop over to www.ballisticarts.com,
- head to the contact or about section,
- find Mr. Lau,
- send him an e-mail and
- tell him Rob Toth sent you.
I can pretty much promise you that you'll get your free biz card design.
Giving things for Free is *the smartest* business promo there is. Speaking of which, have you seen my Free online/offline promotions and marketing e-book, it's at www.27am.com... oh yeah, at the top of the page you'll find a link to a piece of software called the PopOver... it comes with a Free video...
... okay, enough of that.

Hi MMMac:
Depends on what you want and how much you want to pay.
I use:
www.getclubcards.com - 4colors front/1color (blue) on back
www.tradecards.com - 4 colors front/1 color (black) on back
www.printprint.com - 4 colors front & back
Prices are on their websites ... I hope this helps.

The cost of designing a business card usually depends on a number of issues:
-does the person (or their firm) have a logo already?
-does the person want a fairly simple text-based card (i.e. lawyer/doctor) or something that requires a bit more work (i.e. custom dye-cut, design of a logo, etc.)
-is the person sure of what he/she wants or do they want to see a few composites first
-etc.
Most designers charge an hourly rate for such projects, but others charge an overall fee. Most designers will offer some kind of a package deal if you're interested- i.e. get a bunch of identity products designed at the same time (letterhead, brochure, bus. cards) and get a discount.
As far as business card printers go, check out Ultra Express (www.printprint.ca). They're great, and affordable! I was impressed by their service.
