I have a tremendous interest in world affairs/politics and would appreciate opinions on this.
Brian Mulroney recently stated if he were still Prime Minister, Canada would have actively participated in the Iraq war.
During the first gulf war, Mulroney was PM, and backed Bush Sr. in liberating Kuwait. Our CF-18 fighter jets actively participated in the bombing of Iraq.
I''m still hesistant on agreeing with Mulroney on anything he says simply because he wasn''t a good PM. But I''m wondering if Canada''s relationship with the US would be much stronger now if Mulroney was PM. I''m pretty sure Bush Jr. would''ve invited him to his Crawford Ranch or Camp David, something Chretien will never see.
Mulroney also stated that Can/US relations would improve greatly under Paul Martin, and this is something I stated in an earlier post.
Your thots please...

Looks like Kevster was right...everyone is fed up with this whole Madass Hussein debacle. Interesting though that there's been two terrorist attacks in the past two days. Bloody situation is getting worse all the time...
