what program to take to make a prof website?

Hi Everyone! I am a newbie on the internet and I find it very amazing to know that you can actually make money online and make a living. In this regard, I would like to ask you guys a piece of advice...thank you very much in advance!

My question is...do you know guys of a program I need to learn or study before I can make a website...I barely know about computers...I guess I only know how to open and close it...hahahah...but I have a burning desire to make a website of my own and make money out of it....I wanted to learn this skills....and I know I can only get those skills by studying and work hard to get the skills I wanted...My goal is to make a website....can you please advice me which program to take? I am contemplating about taking a web design course at cd-ed but unfortunately I can''t afford it...do you know guys other resources that I can read....I mean good for nontechnical person like me...thanks for your advice!
