I subscribed to Fido’s prepaid service one year ago. I have never doubt Fido’s billing system and the explanation from Fido’s customer service representatives until…
Aug 24th – I refilled $10 to my acct when my balance went to 0. By chance, I found my balance was $9.70 when check several hours later! I was very clear that I didn’t make or pick up any call after refill. $0.30 is really little but I wanted to know why it’s deducted. I called Fido, the representative told me that there’s a record for a 30-seconds conversation. He said that computer won’t record for nothing! I agreed with him. But I also knew that I didn’t make that conversation! I even made sure by the call history in my cell phone. I mentioned that I only received a text message indicating receiving a voice message but I hadn’t read the voice message yet. He told me that I shouldn’t be charged for it. So what’s that $0.30 for?! The representative couldn’t give me the answer.
Then what happened?
I decided to do a test on the voice mail. I called my cell number through my home phone and the call was transferred to the voice mail. I found that $0.30 was deducted from my balance! And it’s not back half day later!
I called Fido on Aug 25th for explanation. The representative told me that their system charged when the call was transferred to the voice mail, and then would return in two hours automatically. (I believe that most customers have heard similar explanations) He said it’s an occasional problem. Occasional----------
If my balance was not changed from 0 to 10, I couldn’t notice this occasional problem. How can you notice it if your balance is changing always?! Maybe there''re many such occasional problems...
Fido’s way to solve them – Return you money if you notice that they’re eating your money (but they won’t stop eating money later on). Cut off your function if you keep an eye on the problem(then they can keep on eating other customers’ money). How awful to cheat customers through billing system this way!
Any other friends found similar tricks?
