Help-- Toshiba vs. Acer?

Hi Folks!

I need an inexpensive laptop for school. I think I''ve narrowed it down to the following two:

Toshiba Satellite notebook with 1024 MB memory, Intel Pentium Dual T2060, 100 GB hard drive...

or

Acer Aspire Notebook with AMD Turion 64 mobile, 1034 MB, 80 GB hard drive

I''ve heard conflicting opinions about the Turion processors being faster. I really just need the machine for internet access, word processing, and music/photos. Any suggestions or oppinions would be greatly apprecitated!!
