Hello Everyone,

My name is Jean-Denis Boudreault and i am the founder and president of Neuralia Technologies. We are based in Montreal and are currently in implementation of a new artificial intelligence system.

Keep an eye on us for AI topics and oportunities. We will also be present at the 2006 techvibe massive expo.

hope to see you around!

Best regards,
JD

Wow, AI!!! Sounds interesting. Is this your company website? http://neuralia.ca/

Hi!

sorry for the delay, i was out on vacation.

Yes, this is our company web site. It is stilil in development, as is our software.

We jsut recently reached a new important milestone, as the first working prototype has been completed. we are currently benchmarking, but the speeds are jsut insane, which is very promissing. i will be posting updates as we got more precise results.

dont hesitate if you have more questions. (we are bound to secrecy for now, so i will answer what i can. thanks for your understanding)

regards,
-JD

Hi JD,

Could you please provide your contact information? Are you hiring? I am very interested in AI. I've been working on a chess game project (in Java) in spare time trying to implement AI using Graph Theory but never got to this stage as I got hired for my first programming job. Please let me know if you are hiring.

Thank you,
Victor.

Hi JD,

Welcome to Techvibes! I look forward to hearing more and seeing you at Massive.

Cheers,
Jen

PS: on your 'OurTechnology.html' page there is a formatting inconsistancy. You may want to capitialize the T in the title: 'Our technology' - just to be consistant with the rest of the website. [;)]

Hi Again,

Victor, thanks for your interrest and enthousiasm. Im so glad to see that there are people interrested in helping the cause. At Neuralia, we have chosen the unstandard approach to AI. We have been committed at trying to bring new and innovative approaches to the problem, by tackling the problems that have been up to now impossible to approach due to knowledge or computational limitations. Hence, we dont use the usual 'procedural' or fuzzy logics approaches to AI, but rather more unorthodox techniques...

We are not yet hiring, not that we dont want to or dont need more engineers, but we just cant pay for more that we have now. We are currently in R&D phase, which does not bring any money in. we are sustainable, but dont have much room for growth right now. We hope the next year will change that :) keep our web site address and contact us in a year or so when we begin to grow...

As for the web site, thanks for the comments jentekk. We are soo busy and there is so much to do that we hardly have time to maintain the web site. But we are definitely in the process of updating the content and posting more useful and detailed information. We are also waiting for a few weeks before the techvibe to fully unleash our technologies and update the website with great details about our product and its potential. Stay tuned as we will soon show our marvel ;)

Thanks for the comments everyone and we hope to see you at techvibes, where we will display our AI system for the very first time.. :)

Hi JD,

Thanks for the reply! Wow, I am so interested in what you are working on. I took analysis of algorithms course in UBC and learned various approaches. Are you working with NP-completness problems? I am not familiar with 'fuzzy logic' term but I think I have a rough idea what you mean.

In my chess game, I planned to implement decision trees and write an algorithm that would traverse a tree (with nodes containing move data) and determine most optimal move (using shortest path algorithm) - hence somewhat working as AI.

I haven't developed this thought too far for several reasons. But would be happy to help you even on a volunteer basis - I am just interested in the idea. If you would like any help on a volunteer basis, please let me know at:

Thank you,
Victor.
