What really gets me is, just how on earth do these people, without any formal education in computing, end up as "analysts". Is it just by memorizing few expressions used in the industry and throwing them around or what?
Here is a so called survey

Hahaha, interesting.
There are hundreds of thousands of meaningless surveys and funded researches going everyday. I'm well sure that M$ or any other company can fish out some of those in favor to them pretty easily.

Don't knock people without so-called "formal" education. Some of the most brilliant individuals I've known were only high school grads.

Surely, you jest.
Can a school teach you how to be an "Analyst"?
I've seen people who never got through Grade School whom I'd put up against the likes of you, who would doubt their abilities from the start.
Some have natural talent, and some just done it for Soooo Long...
Did some brilliant high school dropout beat you out of a job or what?
