In this newly created role, you will be taking ownership of finding new advertising partners (leading consumer brands) and agency partners to help drive Wattpad’s revenue growth. You bring a strong track record of new business development in advertising sales and proven ability to reach and influence key stakeholders to drive new business.

What you will be doing:
• Manage and grow a global portfolio of brands and agencies to expand Wattpad's growing advertising products
• Focus on creating deep and meaningful relationships with brands and agencies and maintain a high quality of customer service
• Act as a consultative seller, working to understand brands’ marketing objectives, competitive landscape and how Wattpad can help achieve their goals
• Manage full sales cycle: identify, negotiate and close new advertising partners through prospecting, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships
• Drive new advertising partner acquisitions to help grow Wattpad’s advertising revenue and meet quarterly targets
• Build, refine, update, and maintain an ongoing pipeline of prospects
• Collaborate with advertising partners and with Wattpad’s Account Management and Marketing teams to help define successful campaigns
• Work with Wattpad’s Insights group to define and deliver on-going reporting and metrics on all campaigns run
• Collaborate with Product Management team to help shape Wattpad's functionality to meet the need of advertising partners

What we’re looking for:
• 7 - 10 years professional experience in the Marketing/Advertising space
• Minimum of 4 years in a new business development role focused on global digital advertising sales
• Bachelors degree, preferably in Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Experience in selling digital advertising directly to agencies and brands
• Extensive Rolodex and relationships with top marketing decision makers at leading brands and top media agencies
• Demonstrated ability to achieve quarterly sales quotas and manage full sales pipelines
• Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Knowledge of online advertising and/or measurement methods and technologies is a plus
• Experience with social networks a plus
• Must be able to travel (30%+)
