You’ll be teaming up with our marketing department to create industry-leading content that helps entrepreneurs build, launch and grow a thriving commerce business.
You understand that great output requires great input – much of your day will be spent reading, researching, and analyzing topics in order to find original, thoughtful ways to help our merchants succeed. You’re not scared of crafting long-form resources, video scripts, or landing pages.
You recognize that “content” is a crowded space – that it’s going to be your job to make sure that any exceptional piece of writing gets in front of the right people. You aren’t intimidated by networking, friendly outreach emails, and working with others to promote your ideas. You’re ready to connect with big players and on the lookout for up-and-comers.
You have a passion for online marketing, ecommerce and entrepreneurship. You have a strong grasp of content marketing fundamentals, an understanding of traditional copywriting techniques, and the ability to write irresistible headlines.
You have a solid understanding of SEO and know how to create content that ranks well in search engines.
You’re a persuasive writer but you’re not concerned with spinning pretty prose. Instead you value crafting clear, concise writing that is a fit for educating potential customers and existing customers. You have an understanding of web formatting and a general knowledge of writing for the web.
You aren’t afraid to experiment and test. You don’t confine yourself to the usual online marketing advice available online.
You have a lifelong passion for learning.

- Existing relationships with blogs and publications in the ecommerce / online marketing space.
- Existing work published on industry blogs and websites
- An existing audience (even if it’s small)
