Who You Are...
You thrive off of data preparation, collection and cleaning using MySQL, R, Excel, and our BI tools. You like to build reporting dashboards and metrics to help business units measure success. You like using qualitative and quantitative data analysis to provide actionable insights and uncover growth opportunities. You like to take data and turn it into a competitive advantage for Hootsuite by working proactively to deliver insight.
You will be taking ownership of our Business Intelligence which will include developing reporting, dashboards (via Tableau), data visualisation to help us understand our business & data. You are able to work with API's to pull data. You will work on forecasting model, helping to provide as accurate visibility as possible on upcoming revenue streams for the region and maintaining an in-depth understanding of company technology, products and services.
In additions, you will run adhoc data pull requests for various teams, work with senior management to further develop forecasting models around acquisition, growth, product adoption, revenue, as well as present and evangelize data insights and best practices within the organization (you can connect users to the market to the product to the data in a fun way). Overall, you will help business units think through problems with data (but don’t forget about the feels).
You're Great At...
Competencies associated with a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) Degree: Math, Statistics, Sciences, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering
Knowledge of intermediate (advanced) statistics
Business Intelligence software experience (Tableau )
Experience with various tools such as Google Analytics, and Optimizely would be desirable
Ability to create user funnels
Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
Create/modify analytics dashboards
Experience of working in analysis with a marketing bias
Must love tech, startups, social media, pivot tables, data visualization, hidden correlations, R
- The ability to juggle multiple projects across a number of different initiatives and business units, while maintaining an impeccable attention to detail and executing at the highest level
Google Analytics, BI tools (like Tableau or RJMetrics)
