JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client requires a resource to create logical designs, describe the deployment of the designs on a physical platform, translate logical designs into systems artifacts, recognize alternatives and propose options throughout the creation of the logical and physical design including methodologies.
The contractor will work as a liaison to the Architecture team and must quickly develop a broad understanding of the Teams programs and initiatives. The contractor will develop the architecture based on best practices and will coordinate that design with and incorporate into the team's standards.
The contractor will provide strategic consulting for the Project, facilitation with all subprojects supporting the program, and direction to help implement architectures and practices throughout the environment. In this capacity, the contractor must project a professional demeanor, and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills are extremely important as this position requires working with a professional staff and mid to senior level IT leadership and business resources within the organization.
PRIMARY SKILL SET:
. Contractor must have a strong understanding of current technologies such as but not limited to; (eg. Novell, CA Identity Manager, SUN Identity Manager, Oracle Identity Manager, IBM Tivoli (TIM and TAM), Microsoft);
. At least two (2) years experience in the last six (6) years in developing Technical Architectures, Framework and Strategies in projects of similar size and scope (multiplatform + 5,000 users );
. Experience analyzing and evaluating alternative technology solutions to meet business requirements in projects of similar size and scope;
. Contractor must have extensive knowledge in the area of X.500 and LDAP directory
technologies;
. Contractor should have a strong understanding of meta directory and virtual directory tools and user provisioning (Novell eDirectory);
. Candidate should have extensive hands on experience with at least one of the technologies;
. Contractor should have experience deploying solutions in a complex enterprise environment;
. Strong technical architectural management experience;
. Ability to work independently with some guidance from Program Manager;
. Knowledge of the privacy, administrative, and technical issues surrounding Identity Management; Single / Reduced Sign On or Access Management - Web and/or client/desktop integration;
. Experience working in UNIX environment;
. Good understanding and work experience in Windows, UNIX based directory systems such as LDAP, Active Directory or Kerberos;
. BA/BS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, plus eight or more years of applicable work experience;
. Working knowledge of current Enterprise Architecture methodologies and frameworks;
