Global Sales Training Manager

Working with the Director of Revenue Operations and the Go-to-Market team leaders, the Global Sales Training Manager will work to develop and implement programs to increase revenues and develop the skill sets of the revenue teams, along with the coaching capabilities of management. A group of local Sales Trainers will report to the Global Training Manager.


  • Build a scalable model for global training as the company expands in size and global reach
  • Develop programs to improve the sales team’s ability to execute the HootSuite sales process
  • Develop programs in association with our Sales Leadership Consultant to ensure revenue teams are able to deliver on our Noble Selling Purpose of turning our customer’s messages into meaningful relationships
  • Build skills assessment and improvement programs – help shift perspectives from a product sale to a purpose-driven sale
  • Support the sales leadership improvement program
  • Oversee the development and delivery of modularized sales training content in conjunction with our Sales Leadership Consultant, Product - Marketing and Sales Management
  • Create tailored programs for a wide range of roles including sales executives, account managers, pre-sales consultants, inside sales & lead development, social media coaches, and our extended partner organization
  • Co-ordinate information and training on new products, product updates, vision and messaging, competitive analysis, new systems & tools
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of online training resource system
  • Develop systems to encourage sharing of best practices and examples of successful content, communications, and experiences
  • Develop program for new hire on-boarding in association with other stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of sales training experience preferably in the software or technology industries
  • Proven curriculum development capabilities
  • Ability to manage a distributed team of trainers
  • Experience working with Global teams
  • BS/BA or equivalent; MS/MBA a plus
  • Experience of LMS system an advantage
  • Experience teaching in the Educational sector an advantage

  • Prior experience working with a environment is an asset
  • Experience working with global sales teams is an advantage
  • Competencies generally associated with a BS/BA or equivalent; MS/MBA a plus
