Job Description: Bayleaf, a Yaletown software development company specializing in web design and application development is looking for an experienced Frontend Developer with strong cross browser production skills. As a member of our development team, you will be required to interact with customers and must be able to work well within a team environment. Excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.
The successful applicant will perform the following duties:
· work with clients to capture their ideas and business requirements to enable the creation of engaging designs that meet their business objectives;
· design and develop user focused cross browser complaint user interfaces;
· integrate front-end templates with back-end functionality
· create and edit content for the web;
· cross browser and functionality testing.
Required Skills
· Ability to hand-code standards-compliant HTML/XHTML and CSS;
· Strong understanding of usability and web accessibility issues
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work on several projects concurrently
Desirable Skills:
· Experience working in Flash, Flex, or Ajax or related technologies;
· Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO);
· Experience in Print;
· Familiarity with version control software;
Education
· Degree or diploma in design or minimum 2 years work experience;
