IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

75-80% of this position handles all the internal IT support needs for Epic Data staff. This role will also provide 20-25% shipping/receiving service to Epic customers in order to procure hardware repair and maintenance.

The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain high degree of customer service for all support functions.
  • Provide internal user helpdesk support for Windows based products and O/S.
  • Provide issue logging/communications and repair coordination for external customer OEM hardware.
  • Monitor logs pertaining to System Infrastructure and backups.
  • Provide support for internal test setups, including Epic terminal products.
  • Maintain and coordinate cellular phone information and plans.
  • Perform management of software licenses and user backups.
  • Shipping and Receiving.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask as needed
  • Use of computer and various OS platforms: MS DOS, Windows 95, Windows NT, Unix.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems, WinXP and/or Windows 2000.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite.
  • Knowledge in network setup/troubleshooting and equipment.
