The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience and have worked in a high traffic database environment. Working with the Database Administrators, the Database Developer is responsible for working directly with the Marketing, Development and Partners in order to quickly and effectively handling multiple database-related requests including one-time data requests, complex SQL reports, and maintaining the existing reporting system.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing and optimizing complex ad-hoc queries and stored procedures in SQL.
• Working with the appropriate people to clarify requirements for requests.
• Ensuring all designs adhere to privacy and compliance requirements.
• Managing data access security such that information security is preserved.
• Ensuring designs and their implementation are traceable back to business requirements and are accepted by the end user.
• End user report design, development and deployment
• Administer publication and access to data for the end user community
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
• 2+ years experience working with different teams and handling data requests
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL 2K5 Reporting Services
• Extensive experience writing T-SQL and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of database optimization through query design, indexing, etc.
