Our client is a successful and profitable 120-person provider of IT professional consulting services and customized software solutions to public entities in Canada and the US. Key Clients include the Province of British Columbia, the Province of Alberta and numerous others.

Our client’s offices are in Edmonton and Vancouver, as well as its corporate headquarters is in Victoria BC. Our client’s five-year plan calls for strategic growth, creating the opportunity for qualified senior professional to join the senior leadership team in the Edmonton Office of a 20 professionals with a focus on business analysis services, software consulting/development and project management.

Strengths include enterprise content management, business intelligence and case management.

Education & Experience:

• MBA or Equivalent

• Direct experience in the consulting and/or custom software development industries.

• Experience with the provisioning of technology services to Canadian governments, specifically the Government of Alberta.

• High-level non-technical familiarity with current key software development principals and technical environments.

• Desire to work in a highly entrepreneurial environment, while guiding the business through a significant stage of change, organizational development and growth.

• Willingness to operate from Edmonton, Alberta with travel to company facilities in Vancouver and Victoria as required.

• Strong understanding of broader Alberta business trends.
• Proven ability to build key relationships and external alliances.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Proven success in the management of professional services organizations.

• Significant experience in a management role with Profit responsibility and accountability.

• Familiarity with the Alberta Government environment, including the procurement landscape.

• Ability to balance local market, client and staff needs and opportunities with larger corporate goals and methods.

• Ability to lead and manage proactively in harmony with the overall strategic vision of our client including the ability to communicate strategic vision to staff.

• Proven ability to formulate and subsequently deliver on corporate operating plans.
