We are seeking an Junior Technical Writer our software documentation team. This individual will be responsible for:
• Authoring, editing, maintaining, and updating documentation for the end users of our products.
• Working as part of the technical documentation team, the Technical Writer will work within the software development life cycle to deliver documentation in a timely manner that is consistent in form and of the highest quality.
Responsibilities
Create, maintain and update many types of technical documentation, online help, user guides, white papers, design specifications, and other documents.
• Understands or willing to learn structured authoring and single-source environments.
• Excellent written skills.
• Demonstrate a mix of technical and language abilities.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Writing experience.
• Knowledge of software development cycles.
• Experience collaborating with remote/satellite teams a plus.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in documentation.
• A fast learner able to understand the details of our products, so that they may accurately communicate in writing to our customers.
• Self-motivated and well organized, with a commitment to quality and an excellent eye for detail.
• Able to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Work well independently and in a team, organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and good decision making and issue resolution.
• Any knowledge of registration management systems a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation.
