The Director, APAC Marketing is a marketing leadership role reporting to the VP, Marketing and collaborating with the Managing Director of HootSuite APAC. The Director, APAC Marketing will be responsible for all enterprise and partner marketing programs that drive user growth and revenue through increasing market share. This role will adapt global programs and create regional awareness and thought leadership programs, event plans, social media marketing strategies and help sales efficiency and effectiveness through unique regional marketing strategies.
This candidate will work as a strategic partner to the Enterprise Sales, Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, and Lead Development teams to build out the programs and systems that deliver needed capabilities for effective localization of all international and regional marketing initiatives.
Be a key driver for HootSuite’s enterprise business expansion through regional and vertical campaigns, localized program implementation, and international business analysis/reporting that inform effective sales and customer-facing programs.
Define and build out a field marketing operation and/or team to support regional activities based on approved strategy and budget
Leverage global marketing programs that produce the highest ROI in APAC
Create and develop marketing campaigns, social programs and field marketing activities and resulting execution to grow HootSuite market share in the enterprise and SME space
Provide and recommend new marketing tactics to the marketing segment leads and sales leaders in response to market opportunities and competitive threatsManage agency relationships and budget
Work with community team, enterprise marketing, demand generation and the sales organization(s) teams to track trends, measure results and make adjustments to the marketing plan as necessary
Closely monitor sales opportunities and competitive landscape to provide management with trends in order to maximize international business marketing opportunities in the region
Ensure international expansion tactics and brand materials are effectively localized through delivery of strategic programs and identified business tools/needs
Provide marketing expertise to all levels of HootSuite management and marketing in order to evangelize and expand international marketing capabilities
Serve as a member of the Marketing Leadership team
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years leadership and 8 years technology marketing experience, preferably in enterprise and SaaS space
Proven expertise in voice of customer and sales enablement strategy and tactics
Knowledge and experience in Social Medi
Knowledge of APAC markets and etiquette including SE Asia (ID, PH, TH, VN) India, Australasia, Greater China, Korea & Japan.
Working knowledge of best practices in market/competitive analysis and market segmentation
Proven experience in partner/agency management
Proven success in international marketing, social media, events and sales enablement
Strong strategic planning, writing, presentation and communication skills
Deep understanding of online user behavior
Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Management Information Systems, or exceptional industry experience is required
Fluent in English, bonus for fluency in other Asian languages (Japanese, Mandarin, Bahasa)
Fluent spoken/written Italian and/or Spanish
Enterprise segment and/or vertical marketing expertise
Start-up experience (i.e. fast paced and multiple hats)
Ability to thrive and laugh under pressure
