EA SPORTS is seeking talented systems engineers to join the EA SPORTS World operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for Linux-based online web infrastructure and crave a fast-paced environment of frequent feature additions, live site troubleshooting and a customer-centric passion. The position is full-time and is based in our main office in Burnaby, British Columbia. This position reports to the EA SPORTS World Operations Development Director.

Requirements:
• Monitor the stability and performance of the web services
• Remotely troubleshoot and diagnose website problems
• Expert level knowledge of Networking, Linux system administration, Apache, PHP, JBOSS, and Perl/BASH
• Managed and supported large scale web sites.
• Oracle administration and operations support experience a big plus
• PHP Development experience a big plus.
• Xen/VMWare Virtualization experience a big plus
• PS3 and XBOX360 Console experience a big plus
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools and automation systems
• Experience with identification and triage of online outage related events
• Facilitate communication, coordinate escalation, and work with subject matter experts to implement critical fixes
• Automate and streamline processes
• Track issues and run reports
