We're looking for an intelligent and enthusiastic candidate to help improve our online monetization channels amongst our Free and Pro customers. Along with overseeing the creation, testing and execution of effective upsell programs that engage and motivate customers to adopt and/or purchase additional products and services.

The Online Monetization Manager will work with key stakeholders within the Online Revenue Department as well as other business units. The successful candidate will know and love the “freemium” business model and obsess about conversion rates, ARPU, LTV, and hockey-stick growth curves. This candidate will also play an integral part in helping us massively grow and monetize our user base. If this sounds like you, you should definitely apply.


  • Lead cross-functional efforts to define and execute on a strategy to grow our paid subscription customer base by:
  • Helping to identify new monetization opportunities and acquiring new potential customers
  • Improving product usage and revenue growth amongst our existing customer base
  • Enabling our coaching team to generate more sales
  • Improving revenue growth through mobile, apps, HSU, and other solution offerings
  • Provide strategic advice to improve customer acquisition, conversion optimization, customer retention, and customer lifetime value
  • Develop a high performing team that overachieves its revenue goals, establishes relationships between cross-functional team, and builds team tenure
  • Work with regional offices to expand revenue growth in EMEA and APAC
  • Create metrics and routine reporting to ensure leadership team and cross-functional teams are up to date on up/cross-sell program performance
  • Manage numerous business initiatives in a highly entrepreneurial start-up environment

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree with high academic performance or equivalent work experience; Masters Degree or competencies associated with a Masters Degree preferred
  • 5-7+ years experience in a successful internet startup, or a more established SaaS or consumer internet company, preferably in marketing/sales
  • Experience in email marketing tactics, contact strategy development, campaign optimization and planning
  • Passion for HootSuite and a deep understanding of B2B internet/social media products and trends
  • Outgoing, with good communication skills and able to present actionable data to the team
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
  • Exceptional team player with the ability to work cross functionally to achieve results
