Oracle ADF Developer

General:

Key to this role is the ADF experience. This is a fairly new version of Oracle and therefore we are looking for a candidate experienced with its use. Candidates cannot effectively/efficiently learn this on the job in this position; they must currently be knowledgeable in this area.

This job is based in Kelowna in the sunny Okanagan, BC.

Skills/Experience Required:

For this senior development position the following skills and experiences are mandatory:

  • 2 to 4 years Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) experience;
  • significant Core Java user interface and back-end logic experience;
  • strong Oracle JDeveloper experience;
  • strong analysis/design/system architecting skills;
  • a solid Unix background;
  • a self-starter and able to move forward with little direction;
  • proven ability to manage project technical issues and work to reach resolution;
  • a strong detail orientation and ability to build strong test cases to ensure quality code;
  • familiarity with software development methodologies and standards to effectively deliver systems;
  • excellent interpersonal and completely fluent written and spoken English language skills.

The following skills and experiences are desirable:

  • 3 to 5 years experience working with ORACLE Forms and Reports up to and including 10G;
  • 1 to 3 years experience working with previous ORACLE development standards.
