Specific Responsibilities:
• Requirements gathering
• Analysis and creation of program specifications
• Coding and unit testing
• System and integration testing as required
• Documentation
• Analyze and fix production system breaks
• Demonstrated ability to work with and guide the activities of system and subject matter experts;
• Demonstrated ability to work with developers to explain / communicate specifications / data mappings;
• Demonstrated ability to work with business representatives to understand and interpret requirements down to the data level;
• Ability to understand highly complex data structures across multiple systems and develop a consolidated, holistic understanding of how the data and functionality of the systems interact;
• Ability to perform complex queries using a variety of SQL based tools / techniques;
• Have finely honed problem solving and analytical skills;
• Be involved in developing acceptance criteria and doing some testing;
• Have ability to grasp complex concepts, data structures quickly;
• Can work on own and in a team environment.
Skill Requirement:
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years recent experience in the following areas:
• Strong systems analysis experience
• PL/1 coding and unit testing
• DB2 usage
• Strong/proven SQL programming and analytical skills
• Systems Analysis; Structured Analysis and Structured Design.
• Excellent/proven verbal and written communication skills; be flexible, team oriented, self-starting, goal focused and capable of working with minimal supervision
• Ability to investigate/research problems, determines impact, and provides cost-effective solutions.
• Requirements gathering/requirements analysis skills, including the ability to interface and work cohesively with a team of client users and developers.
• Self-starter, highly motivated individual needed; team player who adapts to changes in client requirements and priorities.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle including functional & technical specification, development (including object and component based design), maintenance and deployment.
• Background and experience in developing, maintaining and supporting large-scale, high transaction-volume business applications
• Strong/proven programming and analytical skills.
• Effective and proven experience in software analysis, requirements management, quality assurance, modeling, configuration management and change management.
• Strong, proven and demonstrated skills in developing business process documentation and requirements documentation.
