Job Summary

Webnames.ca is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage and coordinate fast paced technology-oriented internal projects through the project life cycle. Projects will include new product development, integration of third party products and services, customer service and CRM tools. Individual projects are typically less than 500 hours and less than 3 months duration.

Organizational Status

You will report to the COO and CTO and liaise directly with lead developers as well as with members of the management team, marketing, operations and finance.

Term, Hours and Remuneration:

Position is full-time based on a 40-hour work week. Hours to be determined by CTO, and may be anywhere between 7am and 5pm. Extra hours may be required at times.

Excellent benefits package after a three-month probationary period. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

You will have a minimum of five years Project Management experience, at least two of which must relate to managing technology projects. A background in web application development, web development or software development would be an advantage.

You will not be creating detailed technical documentation for the development team, however you will be familiar with general principals of the software development life cycle including agile methods and more structured frameworks.

PMP certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis - Gather and prepare business requirements for projects that support strategic and operational goals. Use competitive analysis, focus groups and internal consultation with departmental stakeholders to refine solution proposals for presentation to senior management. Prepare financial projections, ROI and risk analysis to enable management to make informed decisions about proposed projects.
