WPCG is currently seeking a QA Team Lead for one of our Lower Mainland clients.
Job Description:
As a QA Team Lead you will drive the creation and signoff of the project test plan including risk analysis, test strategy, and test scope. You will review PRDs, product requirements/specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure testability and completeness. You will be responsible for executing test plans; determine when test cases are executed and report key metrics and test results to the project team. You will coach and develop team members; hold regular meetings with direct reports and chart out a development path and provide regular feedback on performance. You will be responsible for ensuring defect reports and test cases adhere to standards.
Requirements:
• 6+ years of QA experience, 3+ years proven experience in coaching and developing team members
• Expertise in creating comprehensive test plans. Experience recognizing and mitigating risk.
• Thorough understanding of test metrics- gathering, reporting, and interpreting their meaning.
• In-depth knowledge of SDLC, particularly with agile development.
• In-depth knowledge of QA processes and test lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of Windows O/S and SQL Server 2000 or later versions.
• Strong knowledge of Web and network technologies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Computer Science Degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience
