Nexopia.com is searching for a motivated and reliable QA Tester to perform and organize aspects of product testing throughout the development lifecycle in order to assure quality and pinpoint flaws in the final product before it goes public. You will work closely with the development team and will play a vital role in product development and release.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in and/or lead project testing by organizing test structures and processes
• Develop test plans and conduct testing
• Work with development team and provide critical feedback throughout the development lifecycle
• Manage workflow and prioritize tasks in an Agile, fast paced environment
• Document and communicate status of defects in coordination with other key functions in the development process
• Conduct tests in a variety of browser and operating system environments
• Execute unit testing and benchmarking on newly developed code
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma in a Computer related program is preferred, but not required
• Experience with version control software. CVS, Perforce, and Subversion experience is an asset
• Experience in a mixed computing environment, including Windows, Macs, and Linux
• Experience in software development is a plus, especially if that experience includes C, C++, Ruby, or PHP
• Experience in testing is an asset
• Familiarity with functionality of websites and applications is an asset
• Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work alone and in a team-orientated environment
• Innovative thinker who is enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
