The Sales Training Manager will work with the Director of Revenue Operations and the sales team leaders to develop and implement programs to increase sales revenues, improve sales team efficiency and develop the skills of the go-to-market teams.
• Develop programs to improve the sales team’s ability to execute the HootSuite sales process
• Oversee the development and delivery of modularised sales training content in conjunction with product marketing and sales management
• Create tailored programs for a wide range of sales roles including pre-sales, account managers, sales representatives, lead development, and our extended partner organisation.
• Co-ordinate information and training on new products, product updates, vision and messaging, competitive analysis, new systems & tools
• Manage ongoing communication with the sales team through regular updates, including product and process refreshers, best practice examples, contests, hints and tips
• Develop systems to encourage sharing of best practices and examples of successful content, communications, and experiences
• Develop program for new hire on-boarding in association with other stakeholders
• Create initiatives to make sure all global sales teams are equally equipped
• Build and maintain Sales Process Handbook and supporting resources
• Ensure adherence to best practices in Solution Selling / Customer Centric Selling, incorporating Social Selling
Required Skills & Experience:
• Experience with developing and managing a sales handbook and associated training materials
• Knowledgeable of Solution Selling and/or Customer Centric Selling basics
• Familiarity with using 3rd party training organisations to deliver skills and process training
• Ability to conduct training in small groups, on an individual basis, and via large online courses essential
• Prior experience working with a Salesforce.com environment is an asset
• Experience working with global sales teams not just North American operations is an advantage
• Competencies generally associated with a BS/BA or equivalent; MS/MBA a plus
