Position Overview
TP SYSTEMS LTD. is a growing outsourcing and IT consulting firm, providing business solutions to both the private and public sector for over 25 years.
We are currently seeking a qualified and professional senior .Net Developer Team Lead to join our team in Burnaby, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical team in all technical support work.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assign and monitor tasks to the development team. Prepare specifications and/or review/approve technical designs for enhancements.
• Prepare enhancement releases including planning and estimating requests with the client teams.
• Monitor the support process to ensure service levels are met or exceeded.
• Provide production support to resolve severity 1 and 2 production issues.
• Act as the primary liaison between the development and QA teams and the client.
• Function as a technical bridge between developers and web server administrators/DBAs.
• Support multi-tier applications using .NET technology (ASP.NET, ADO.NET, ODP.NET, VB.NET, AJAX, WSE).
• Provide support, guidance, leadership and mentoring to development team members.
Desirable Education
• MCAD (Microsoft Certified Applications Developer)
• MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer)
• Certifications or diploma from an accredited institution required
Required Skills
Applicants MUST have previous experience with the following:
• Team lead experience with excellent coordination and organization skills
• Initiative to resolve technical and non-technical issues
• A thorough understanding of software development methodology.
• Understand a client support role
• Excellent communication, presentation and reading skills
• Intensive Object Oriented Programming skills
• Must have 5+ years of .Net 1.1/2.0 and SQL Server 2000/2005 experience
• Business/Technical Analysis experience preferred
• 5+ years in using Visual Studio .Net 2003 or 2005
• 5+ years in coding with VB.NET or C#
• 5+ years in developing web applications (ASP.NET)
• Thorough RDMS knowledge (Oracle or MS SQL)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
