WPCG is currently seeking a Senior C# Software Engineer for one of our Lower Mainland clients.
Job Description:
As Senior C# Software Engineer, you will be assigned a key leadership role in all areas of software development related to shared technologies. You’ll be expected to work on all phases of product development across multiple projects under the direction of the software development manager. High-level development tasks will be assigned with the expectation that you will be able to independently perform any required analysis, design and implementation. You’ll also be expected to help enforce good development practices, by coordinating and leading design and code reviews and practicing an active commitment to unit testing.
Requirements:
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software development
• Proven ability leading a software development team through a full software development cycle
• Working familiarity with source code change control systems and processes
• Practical experience in Win32 programming in C# using .NET and C++ using MFC and/or ATL
• Database design and programming using SQL via ADO.NET, ODBC, and nHibernate
• Experience with XML
• An excellent understanding of OO principles and common design patterns
• Experience in user needs analysis, use case development, sequence and interaction analysis and both technical and functional specification writing
• PocketPC or other embedded device development experience using Windows CE is highly desirable
